App Store Reaches 20,000 Apps And Counting!

The days of shrink-wrapped disks delivered in a box are numbered as Google Android, Microsoft and Amazon, among other players launch their own versions of an online marketplace for software downloads.

What does it mean to the average consumer? Well, think about what iTunes did to the music industry. It was a game changer in the music industry and made the distribution of music incredibly democratic. Welcome to the new world of software where most of it will be free or 99c.
