What Do the Restriction Levels - Strict, Moderate, Mature, Monitor - Mean?

Mobicip's default filtering levels are based on common restrictions setup by parents. Mobicip offers three pre-defined filtering levels.

  • Mature is the least restrictive level

    • Internet - Blocks only adult-oriented and mature sites/content, 

    • Screentime - 8 hrs in the day (2 pm - 10 pm in default timezone)

    • Apps - iOS apps rated 17+ (as defined here by Apple), Android apps rated PEGI 16, ESRB N, 16+, as defined here

  • Moderate

    • Internet - Blocks weapons, violence, proxy, virus, hacking sites/content, in addition to Mature level restrictions

    • Screentime - 4 hrs in the evening (4 pm - 8 pm in default timezone)

    • Apps - iOS apps rated 12+ (as defined here by Apple), Android apps rated PEGI 12, ESRB 10+/T, 12+, as defined here

  • Strict

    • Internet - Blocks Google images, online shopping, gambling, dating, liquor, and chat sites/content in addition to the Moderate level restrictions

    • Screentime - 2 hrs in the evening (4 pm - 6 pm in default timezone)

    • Apps - iOS apps rated 4+ and 9+ (as defined here by Apple), Android apps rated PEGI 3/PEGI7, ESRB EC/E, 3+/7+, as defined here

       

  • Monitor

    • Internet - allows unrestricted access to all sites/content, but records and reports all activity and browsing history

    • Screentime - No restrictions, always allowed

    • Apps - No restrictions, all allowed

  • Elementary, Middle and High School levels are deprecated and are no longer available.
