Setup And Apply Your User Profiles

MOBICIPNEWS on July 23, 2013

Your Mobicip account, Premium or Basic, is setup with at least one user profile by default. What is a user profile anyway and why do you need it?

User Profile

A typical household, business or enterprise has multiple users today using multiple devices. A user profile in Mobicip is used to apply a common filtering configuration to a group of devices. To setup or review your user profiles, login at mobicip.com and select Settings > Users.

Apply User Profile

By default, the first user profile in your account is applied to all devices enabled using your account. If you have more than one user profile, you will need to apply the right user profile on the device or computer

  • In the Safe Browser app on iOS or Android, go to Settings > Current User Profile. Enter your username and password to change the user profile.
  • On Windows 7/8, map the user profiles in your Mobicip account to the Windows user accounts on the computer.

If setup correctly, you will notice the browsing history reports reflect the user profile along with the device name.

Group User Profiles

In a bulk deployment at a school or enterprise, you can create and apply a user profile per group of users, say by grade level for example.

To report issues or feedback, please contact support. If you are happy with Mobicip, please leave a quick review in the Apple App Store or Google Play store. Your feedback and support is much appreciated!
